Chiacchiere con Chiara: Jeanne Bellaiche , è SPUMEGGIANTE* e allo stesso tempo comunicativa, empatica e profonda. Sono le parole che meglio descrivono per me Jeanne , una delle “belle persone” che ho incontrato in questi ultimi anni di nuovi progetti e mille incontri.

Accomunate da mille interessi e dalla stessa visione della vita, considero Jeanne un’anima “sorella”.   Incaricata delle Pubbliche Relazione per un grande istituto di ricerca a Montpellier, Jeanne è l’autrice di un Blog di lifestyle, e indirizzi preziosi dedicato alla meravigliosa regione dell’Occitania (vicina alla più famosa, almeno per noi Italiani, regione della Provenza) : J-MUS ( My urban Sweetness)

Jeanne, oltre a parlare di posti da esplorare e art de vivre alla francese, ama, come me, scoprire talenti e persone creative ed interessanti. Ne parla nei suoi articoli, nelle sue “balades” – passeggiate per la sua regione.

(EN) She has a bubbly personality and, at the same time, she is communicative, empathic and a deep person. These are the words that, to me, best describe Jeanne Bellaiche. She is one of the “beautiful souls” I have met over the course of the last few years which have been filled with new projects and new encounters.    We have many interests in common as well as the same vision of life; that’s why I think of Jeanne as a “soul sister”.

She works in PR for a big research Institute in Agronomy in Montpellier and she is also the author of the Blog J-MUS  dedicated to the beautiful Occitanie region in the South of France.

Ciao Chiara, sono molto felice di riceverti nel mio salotto questo pomeriggio! Sono nata a Nîmes, in Francia, vicina a Montpellier, dove vivo oggi. Sono venuta qui quando avevo 30 anni. Lavoro come PR in un grande istituto di ricerca in agronomia con progetti con i paesi del Sud, anche America del Sud, Africa , Asia.

Mi piace molto il mio lavoro dove incontro persone da tutto il mondo ed è molto interessante

(EN) Hi Chiara, I am very happy to welcome you in my living room this afternoon! I was born in Nimes, France, near Montpellier where I live now. I came here when I was 30 years old. I work in PR for an important Research Institute in Agronomy that works on projects with southern countries, as well as South America, Africa and Asia.

I love my job , I meet  people from all over the world and it’s very interesting.

Quante lingue parli?/ How many languages do you speak?

Inglese, Italiano e Spagnolo.  / (EN) English, Italian and Spanish

Le due lingue latine sono simili, come le hai imparate? / The two Latin languages are quite similar, how did you learn them?

Ho imparato Inglese e Spagnolo a scuola. Ero una bambina quando ho iniziato a studiare inglese, dopo ho studiato Spagnolo. A scuola avevamo la scelta tra tedesco e spagnolo e io ho scelto lo spagnolo. Poi al Liceo volevo veramente tanto imparare l’italiano e a scuola avevo la scelta insieme alle altre lingue (inglese e spagnolo) e così ho aggiunto anche l’Italiano. Ero molto interessata alla cultura italiana.

(EN) I learnt English and Spanish at school. I was a child when I started studying English and afterwards, in school, we had the choice between German and Spanish, and so I chose Spanish.   Later on, in High School I really wanted to learn Italian and at school we had the option together with other languages, so I added Italian too. I was very interested in the Italian culture.

E se non mi sbaglio, tu hai anche un po’ di radici italiane? / If I am correct, you also have some Italian roots?

Si, dalla parte della mia mamma la famiglia veniva dal Nord Italia

(EN) Yes, on my mother’s side, her family came from Northern Italy.

A proposito di imparare una lingua: tu hai imparato l’Italiano già adulta. Qual è stato e quale è il tuo metodo preferito per imparare?/ Speaking about learning a new language: you learnt Italian as an adult. What was your favorite way to learn?

All’inizio io penso che si deve imparare le basi in un modo scolastico, perché ci sono cose da sapere, le basi,  la grammatica. Ma dopo è bello fare cose che sono interessanti, stimolanti , parte della vita di tutti i giorni.

(EN) At the beginning I think one has to learn the basis, like in school, because there are basic things to learn, like basic grammar. But I think that, after that, it is enjoyable  to do things that are interesting and stimulating, things that are part of everyday life.

Secondo me è importante circondarsi dalla lingua che tu vuoi imparare, durante la giornata, come può essere ascoltare la radio, la musica seguire un profilo su Instagram, leggere un articolo, un libro, qualcosa che è interessante per te. La chiave è seguire un argomento che ti interessa e poi la grammatica segue. / In my opinion it is important to surround yourself with the language you want to learn during the day, such as listening to the radio, music, following a profile on Instagram you like, reading an article, a book, something that is interesting for you. The key is to follow a topic that interests you and then the grammar will follow.

Sono d’accordo. Questo rende la lingua viva. Per me è molto importante sentire la voce di qualcuno, non si impara una lingua solo leggendo, a volte un’espressione che usi nella tua lingua non la userai mai in un’altra, questo è lingua viva ed è molto interessante.

(EN) I agree. This is what makes a language come alive. For me it is very important to hear someone’s voice, you don’t learn a language just by reading, sometimes an expression you use in one language cannot use in another, this is a living language and it is very interesting–

Dove sei stata recentemente in Italia? / Where have you been recently in Italy?

L’estate scorsa sono stata in Toscana e anche al lago di Como.

Che cosa ti piace di più dell’Italia? / What do you love the most about Italy?

Ti dirò qualcosa un po’ cliché ma è la verità: è la “dolce vita”. Un po’ come è qui nel sud della Francia, la possibilità di vivere molto all’aperto, il ritmo lento, vivere bene, poi anche tutta l’arte che si trova in Italia e il suono della lingua che mi piace tanto

(EN) I’ll tell you something a bit cliché but it’s the truth: it’s the “dolcevita”. A bit like it is here in the south of France, the possibility of living outdoors a lot, the slow rhythm, living well, then also all the art that can be found in Italy and the sound of the language that I like so much

Senti Jeanne, che pensi della mia idea che , quando si parla un’altra lingua , siamo un po’ diversi ogni volta…?/ What do you think about my idea that, whenever we speak in another we are also a bit of a different person as well?

Io penso come te che il cervello forse funziona in maniera differente quando si parla un’altra lingua. Anche forse quando non è la nostra lingua cerchiamo di farci capire, allora cerchiamo di più la parola esatta…è una ricerca continua

(EN) Like you, I believe that our brain works in a different way when we speak another language.  Maybe it’s because when we use another language, we try hard to get people to understand us, and we search for the right words .. it is like an endless research

Forse scopriamo anche qualcosa nuovo di noi stessi, mentre cerchiamo le parole, troviamo una parte nuova di noi stessi!  Tu sei sempre alla ricerca di nuovi indirizzi da proporre per la tua parte della Francia , ma io so che adesso hai un nuovo progetto artistico. Cosa fai? / Maybe we even discover something new about ourselves, as we search for words, we find a new part of ourselves! You are always looking for new addresses to suggest in your region, but I know that now you have a new artistic project. What are you doing?

Allora, io ho cominciato all’inizio dell’anno a dare corsi di danza. E’ un pò come le lingue: io ho iniziato con corsi molto classici, accademici di vari stili di danza. Ho pensato che sarebbe bello trovare ora un metodo per ballare in libertà, senza preoccupazioni di stile o di essere in forma perfetta…è un modo per ritrovare la gioia di vivere. Un modo per liberarsi. Quando arrivo nello studio, metto la musica ed è una sorta di magia.

La danza è un altro modo di espressione, diverso dalle lingue, ma simile. A me la danza ha aiutato molto. Ero molto timida da bambina, la danza mi permetteva di esprimermi liberamente.

(EN) Well, I started giving dance classes at the beginning of the year. It’s a bit like with languages: I started with very classic, academic courses of various dance styles. I thought that now, it would be nice to find a method to dance freely, without worrying about style or being in perfect shape…. it’s a way to rediscover the joy of living. A way to break free. When I get to the studio, I play music and it’s kind of magical.

Dance is another way of expression, different from languages, but similar. Dancing has helped me a lot. I was very shy as a child, dance allowed me to express myself freely.
