Based in Siena, Tuscany, Chiara Borghesi is the creator of Chiara’s Tuscany, a project with multiple aspects: online and in person language courses, full immersions in Siena, a blog, an Instagram and a podcast dedicated to Italian language and lifestyle lovers as well as a Conversation Club, open to women from all over the world to exchange opinions on different topics.
Translator and language teacher for over 20 years, Chiara promotes a new way of Learning Italian, while discovering la Dolce Vita and whatever makes life in Italy and Tuscany so unique.

Her most popular format is called Caffè con Chiara. « In Italy they say that wine warms the soul. But Caffè is also equally important and it is part of the Italian life. Why have I chosen Coffee as topic for my course? Because I believe it is an essential tool to find your way through the heart of Italians.”
Il Bar? It’s an institution… it sits there at the center of the life of any town ,like the church. The real meaning of “Ti va un caffè? Prendiamo un caffè”? In Italy we all know it’s an excuse, a pretext to say ” I am listening, I am your friend”. It means paying attention to the other person, to be in the present, even if it’s just for a few moments. »
A romantic and customised concept of teaching a language : preparing a lesson, for Chiara, is like making coffee for a friend, with care and love.
